Ward Campout Hawaiian Style!

On Friday Night it was the ward campout! I'm the ward activities chairperson, so I'm in charge of the campout! We decided to have a Hawaiian Luau for dinner. So we had Kaula Pork, Huli Huli Chicken, rice (sticky of course), Pani-po-po (coconut rolls), & lots of salads (brought by ward members! For dessert we had Haipia Pudding (coconut pudding), grilled pineapple, & desserts brought by ward members, plus roasted marshmallows a little later. All in all I think we had about 200 or so people with about 60 who stayed over. We were lucky and we have a ward member from American Samoa who's twin sisters came and danced for us and taught us a dance too. The next morning we had Sausage Gravy & Biscuits, with eggs. The kids had honey & jam if they wanted. It went well and I'm glad it is over, I swear a accrue about 5 more wrinkles every activity!

I can only imagine how happy you are that the camp out is over. In Relief Society today they mentioned you and what a great job you did.(Just thought you should know)
