I did it!!!

I finally did it, well started it! Since Sam was tiny I had a dream of making a pillowcases for each child, for every month celebrating the holiday or season in that month! I know it seems silly but someone I worked with when I was first married, did it for her kids and they loved it. So when Ashlynn was born I set out to do it! I did Halloween & Christmas and found out I was pregnant with Coleman and then I got caught in the black hole of little children. Well I'm back on the wagon again and I made 6 Halloween pillows cases (the other's are 7 years old!) They are on the kids beds already! They have loved having the older ones, so hopefully I will actually get them all done this time!

Chels.
Seriously. I think I'm caught up on your blog, and then I come back, and I need to leave like a hundred comments. So Jaxsyn dancing is AMAZING, your mom hasn't aged in 30 years (what the CRAP. UNFAIR GENES. And she's, what, a size TWO?!) and I had forgotten your Thanksgiving obsession! Do you remember all your poems in Jr. High english? I loved your Thanksgiving one, "The turkey is big and fat. We are big and fat. Hurray Thanksgiving!"
And my personal fave, "Some people are big, some people are short, some people are fat, some people are skinny, but I'm not tall, I'm not short, I'm not fat, I'm not skinny, I'm medium."
That STILL makes me laugh! I have NOT grown up. Let's go play college, and no I NEVER had dates lined up days in advance. HA. As if. I have gotten SO into the holidays since becoming a mom. Such the great excuse!! And I'm a total day after Thanksgiving 4 AM shopper convert, btw.

That is such a cute idea. I'm going to copy that one once we have kids! And I might need to look into buying a sewing machine huh? :)

Those are so cute. I told my kids what you did and now they are begging me to make ones for them. We will see about Halloween but I think I can manage Christmas ones if I start now.

I love your cute fabric! My mom did that for us when I was younger, and it was always fun. I have considered doing it for my kids, but I don't have a sewing machine so...too bad for them :)

That is a cute idea! I wish I could steal it but "we" are very attached to our pillowcases around here. One time Paige puked on hers on vacation and I threw it out, she was miserable about it.
