Gratitude Turkey!

For FHE on Monday we made a Gratitude Turkey (idea from the Friend). Each kid had to come up with 5 things they were thankful for, and then Mom & Dad added a few so we could use it for a count down. I know one day they will realize how blessed they are, but until then I'll just keep reminding them!

That is a great idea. What a great thing to learn while they are young--gratitude really is one of those magical secrets to being happy and having a positive attitude.

What a great idea, I might have to try that. Anything to help keep a positive vibe in the home would be great.

What a cute idea. I will have to share that with people I know that have young kids. What a great way to make them really think about what they are thankful for and countdown the Thanksgiving too!

Very cute idea and congrats to your "Tooth Loosin Coleman" there! Did the tooth fairy bring him something special?

BTW--on our "Gifts of Service" idea, inside the box we have the scripture John 3:16. On Christmas Eve we will open up the gift and have another lesson about the great gift of the Savior and the Atonement.

Another idea I have heard along these lines is having a cradle/manger and filling it with straw (or yarn) with each act of service you perform, with the goal of having it filled and ready for the baby Jesus by Christmas.

I cannot get over how cute your kids are! Every picture of them makes me smile. They could all be models (although that would probably scar them for life).
