Christmas day we did a little different this year we did just stockings at 7am and then ate breakfast and went to Church for 1 1/2hours.  I loved every minute of Church it was a very spiritual day for me.  I couldn't help but feel so blessed. After Church we opened for about an hour! We call the 2nd picture Christmas puked all over the family room!

Christmas Eve with the Hirst's

We always do Christmas Eve with my family! I love having such awesome traditions yummy dinner, Grandma Great passes out her gift for us, we exchange cousin gifts, brother sister gifts, kids open pjs, and a new Christmas book. It always makes me feel like Christmas has begun! Ryan & I started our own family tradition of taking the kids to lunch and a movie on Christmas Eve.  It makes the whole day so much fun, we love it.

Partying with the Crockett's

Every year we have a party with the Crockett's on the Friday before Christmas we moved it up this year since the 23rd was the Friday before.  We delievered out Sub for Santa and then exchanged gifts. The kids love hanging with their cousins.  There are so many of us now!

Samantha Graduated from elementary school!

Our baby graduated form elementary school. I am not going to lie this was a hard day. I had been dreading it for the whole school year. Junior high are you kidding me. It is a day full of mixed emotions, happy she did so well and loves to learn and is a good girl. Sad because she is making her own choices, you have to give her freedom and you can't just kiss all of her ouchies away. She has grown into a great young woman and we are so proud of her. She has made great friends and loves life and loves to laugh.

Samantha: Soccer 3 days a week, & activity days

Greyson Karl Hirst

Nate & Ashley had a new baby! He is so cute! Greyson Karl Hirst, Coleman was so excited to get a boy cousin on the Hirst side.

Lake Powell

This was all of our 1st trip to Lake Powell, it is gorgeous there. This is the book we got my Dad for his birthday! The kids grabbed it to pose with it since they are posers!!
We went fishing for a few hours. Ryan could have fished all day long and the next day, so next time we will make more time for it.

Jaxsyn's Swimming lessons

Jasxyn has been a little afraid of water, so we put her in semi-private swim lessons to help her overcome her fear!! She is doing amazing! She gets to take classes with her little friend Maelie!

Coleman had his tonsils removed this week, he is such a great kid

and was so excited for the surgery.

This is what he has looked like for the entire week. He even looks worse now since he has lost a lot of weight his eyes are suken in and he looks so skinny. We are hoping he starts feeling better soon, we miss our happy boy!

"Eat with your kids week"

It was "Eat with your kids week" at school! So Jaxsyn & I grabbed some pizza and soda and treated the kids and some friends to a special lunch!

Snowy Cabin Trip 2011!!

This was a really fun an memorable trip! We had to 4-wheel in to the driveway and hike the rest of the way 200 yards with all the bags & kids in 2 feet of snow! Once we got in we got to relax and enjoy the warm cabin! The kids had a great time and can't wait to go again!

Valentine's Day Family Home Evening!

We delivered yummy cupcakes to some of our friends in the neighborhood. I had ordered a dozen White Chocolate Raspberry cupcakes form one of my Young Women, and I forgot until after I had promised Ryan some Skor Cupcakes. So we ended up with bunches. They were yummy though!!

Fancy Nancy Party!

Jaxsyn's friend had a Fancy Nancy party, so she dressed up. She didn't want to wear a dress, but she looked like a teenager in her outfit! I love the fact that she had the sunglasses in her hair!!! I can't believe this is my baby, it makes me a little sad.

The Perfect Christmas Outfit Picture!!

This picture is a perfect example of how each child is in a picture.
Samantha- She has her eyes closed! We always have to take twice as many photos if she is in them. She can't help but blink or look away EVERYTIME we take her picture.
Jaxsyn- A poser (usually sassy) she always is ready to pose for a photo! And even has the head tilt down.
Coleman- He is always wishing that he didn't have to take pictures. And he is squinting, he has never liked it when it is bright.
Ashlynn- She has always been very photogenic, thankfully! She seems to know exactly how she looks her best! She has been like this since she was 2!

6th Grade Olympics!

Sam was on the white team! They have been learning about Greece so they had an Olympics. It was fun to watch them, they are so competitive now!

Coleman's Pinewood Derby!

As you can see he didn't have the fastest car around he was actually one of the lowest! But he ended up having fun and is already planning out his next car for next year!

Solider Hollow Sledding- Martin Luther King Weekend

This is the best sledding ever! You hook a tube to a lift and it pulls you up the hill and then you get to sled down 200 ft!! It was awesome and the kids loved it!! We went with my family since the cabin sledding trip had to be postponed since Jaxsyn had pneumonia (we didn't let her sled the whole time, it got too cold for her) and my dad also had a kidney stone. But it ended up a great day! It was so pretty up there!

Lost camera cord!

Here shortly I will find my camera cord, and so there will be real posts! m But until then I will tell you I have lost 6.5 lbs in two weeks! I am so excited, this is the longest I have ever dieted so I am totally proud of myself!!

Biggest Loser, Starts today!

I just joined a Biggest Loser group!! Tonight I had to weigh in front of 5 other people. I did it!! Now the work begins!! What did I get myself into! But this picture is some of my motivation! Wow I look chubby!

The kids snow day!!

The mountain in the middle of the culdesac! The neighbor rented a tracter and made a big hill pile in the center for the kids to play on! They loved it and played on it for hours and hours!!

Snow day!!! It was so fun for the kids to have school canceled. I had watched it snow and snow and snow the night before. While I wrapped and wrapped, and wrapped Christmas presents. I woke up wondering if they would cancel school and even thought I am going to let my kids stay home and play for awhile before I send them to school. But then they canceled school!! Yay! It was a really fun day, I had hot chocolate going all day and during lunch I put their snow clothes in the drier so they could go back out again! Really fun day!

A little update about all of us!

Ryan- Last April he switched companies from Blendtec to Traegar Pellet Grills. He has the exact same job but for a different company! He is building Traegar's Costco program just like he did for Blendtec. Since this company is based in Oregon he was working from home for about 7 months until the opened there sales office here. It was soooo much fun to have him home, I still miss him going to work everyday (cheesy I know but I was about 1000 times better than I thought it would to have him home!)! He is so busy that his travel as really been cut down which has been a nice break.

Chelsi- I am happily unemployed! I quit working in January which was a very long and hard decision, but I really wanted to focus my time on Jaxsyn's last year at home and also taking care of myself (losing weight!!), planning trips and just making lists I want to accomplish. I am loving that ages of my kids right now they all seem to be in a good place.

Samantha-11 Has done a lot of growing up this year. She has made some amazing choices this year that has just shown me what a strong woman she will become. She is doing awesome in school and has found a love of soccer. She is a very good helper and is terrified of the basement!

Ashlynn-9 Is getting to the age where I think my kids should just stay put! She is a very smart girl and when she stops socializing (don't know where she got this from) she learns quickly! She is a very talented dancer and wants to try her hand at soccer this spring. She is boy crazy and seems to like a messy room (don't know where she learned that either!

Coleman-8 He is a charmer still. He can't help it, it is a gift. He is a quiet leader and an example to others. Is a inventor and builds new things and has big ideas all the time (wow, that reminds me of Ryan!) He is a very good athlete soccer, wrestling and in the fall football are his favorite sports to play. He has is very quick witted, and can't walk by a single piece of trash he doesn't want to bring home and make something out of it!

Jaxsyn-4 The princess still. We had a rough time for a bit teaching her that she is not in charge of the family and after about 6 weeks of tantrums, timeouts and lost privileges she learned who the bosses really are and has been a good girl since! She is a cute little dancer and loses to place house with all the boys in the neighborhood. She likes to play with the boys because they let her boss them around. She loves to tell us that we are the best mom and dad in the whole wide world and the neighborhood. She is a little cutie and a night owl who I am sure will be life of the party once we let her stay up past 8:30!

I am still looking for that camera cord! But when I do I will update you all!
