Brower's stay over!

The lack of posts is due to having a few more children at my house for a few days! Mike & Jen went to Mexico so we returned the favor of watching their kids (they watched ours when we went to Florida). So for Wed, Thurs, & Friday we had their kids! Then on Friday-Saturday we had my brother's dog & both of my parent's dogs! Then on Sunday-Monday Boston, Aubrie & Tyson came to stay until their mom & dad got home. WOW!!
The kids did great, Tyson got sick & so did Jaxsyn so they were on the grouchy side. I did not get any pictures which I am sad over!

Ashlynn's Dance

I took a short video of Ashlynn's Dance performance. This is her 2nd competition and she team got 2nd place on both of their dances! She loves dance so much, which makes it fun to take her & watch!

Laundry Soap!!! Crazy cheap & Works!

Homemade Laundry Soap! $1.81!!!
Don't think I'm crazy but I thought I would make my own laundry soap:) I got the idea from Paige's blog...THANKS!!

Ingredients...I bar Fels-Naptha, 1 Cup Washing Soda, 1/2 Cup Borax and Water!
Fill your bucket 1/2 full of HOT water.
Grate you bar of soap and dissolve in 4 cups of water on medium low heat.
Pour melted soap, and other 2 ingredients into bucket!
Fill to top with HOT water and mix. Time to cover and let it sit over night!
Stir well in the morning.
It makes 10 gal. so fill jug half full of soap and half of water and shake. Mixed with water ready to use! Shake before each use.
It does 160 loads using 1 cup per load. I calculated this out to be ONLY $1.81 for 10 gal. or 160 loads (Top Loader)(640 loads Front Loader use 1/4 cup)I have washed 1 load so far and it worked great!

I borrowed some of Lacie's soap and it worked awesome. It got out salsa from Jaxsyn's white polo, and a shade shirt that looked dingy from laundry soap looked almost new, & a shade tee that had an old salsa stain that had been washed & dried twice came out in a cinch. I was sold so I made my own today!! I might even try the homemade dryer sheets.

Sam's Black eye!

Sam is trying to make her eye look more swollen then it was because she thinks it is cool.
This morning I was curling sam's hair for church and she said I am hungry. I said what did you eat for breakfast? Nothing. I say, Well dad is cooking lunch right now let's finish your hair and then you can eat. ( It was only 10:30m)
Mom, I think I'm going to throw up...(she leans forward into the sink to throw-up). I am not worried she has a very sensitive stomach and any amount of stress or lack of food make's her throw-up. She all of the sudden she passes out!! I catch her and scream for Ryan (her hair is in the curling iron still!) I get out the curling iron and get her to the floor where she wakes up only a few seconds later (okay I was mildly freaking out!). We get her a drink and sit her up and notice her eye swollen & black. She hit it on the facet when she passed out!!! She recovered after throwing-up and drinking some soda and getting a little food.
She is very proud of her black eye none the less.

Coleman's Tooth Hallelujah!

Yea, Coleman finally lost his top tooth!!! We thought we would have to get it pulled. He pulled it out during church!!!!

Petite's #1

Ashlynn's first dance competition was on Saturday it was a long day that started at 6:30am with hair & make-up to drive to Timpview for her performance. The two pictures are of her right before (stressing) going on to perform. The trophy in the middle is the Company trophy which is engraved with all the catergories they won. Ashlynn got a little trophy as well.

This is her friend Sadie showing their #1!! Ashlynn's Petitie's team won 1st place in both categories they danced in. And won best costume (out of 91 costumes!!) the one with the green flower in her hair!!

Great Neighborhood!

This why my neighborhood is awesome!! On Friday night it was warm (so exciting!) at 8:30 tons of kids and some parents were still outside enjoying the weather & chattting. The kids were playing night games (bears in the bushes) I don't know the rules, but here there are counting on the tramp! My kids think they invented night games which is so cute because night games have been around forever!!

Worst FHE ever!!

We were all really worn out tonight so we decided that we would play the wii as family home evening tonight and eat chocolate waffle brownies. Sounds like fun huh! WRONG! Ashlynn accidentally hit Jaxsyn with a remote. Sam threw a fit about not being able to make her person jump. Coleman actually did pretty well, he even let someone else be 1st remote!!!! Jaxsyn ran into a chair at the dinner table and then threw a fit because she didn't get to carry the brownies. Then fighting over which games to play within 30 minutes we were done!!! Had them shower get in jamas and read, lights out by 8:00pm! Yea!!! I think they were so tired from playing outside in the nice weather all afternoon they all fell asleep really quick!

There was a house fire in our neighborhood last Friday night it was the house kitty korner to our backyard. A 4-year-old boy start it playing with matches on his bedspread. His 9 year-old brother ran back in to save the 4-year-old. The news story above shares more & shows a video of the fire. This family just moved in 2 months ago, but they say that they have been very blessed and have had an amazing attitude with all that has happened.

On Monday they arranged a Family Home Evening for anyone who wanted to come (100's of people did!). They had the firefighters come with their fire trucks, and the firemen gave a tour through the house telling children how the escape a fire & what to do. How not to play with matches and then what can happen. We even got to see the room where it started! It was very interesting. I don't think our children will ever play with matches, after seeing the affects.

Getting there!

The basement is coming along! My mom & I tiled the basement kitchen area last night it took 5 1/2 hours!!! We are hoping to get the basement finished in the next week or two! I'll post photos when it is all done.

Draper Temple Open House!

The Draper Temple open house. We had such a great experience, the kids were amazing and seemed to feel the Spirit that was there. Our Favorites:
Ryan-The Baptism Font, it was really open and you just stood in awe of the beauty of it.
Chelsi- The Brides Room was absolutely gorgeous, there is a mirror with 3 parts and without planning each of my girls was standing in a section (Jaxsyn in her dad's arms) looking in the mirror it definitely brought me to tears.
Samantha- The chandeliers which were amazing. And the Brides Room.
Ashlynn- The chandeliers.
Coleman- The Baptismal Font & the mirrors in the sealing room (he says that was cool).
Jaxsyn- The swimming pool, "I go swimming there!" AKA the Baptismal Font

Ryan's, Aunt Anne was here visiting for Brittany's last game cheer leading. We invited her to join us to the open house. It was fun to see her and Megan her daughter joined us as well. Ashlynn has always really loved Auntie Anne!

Ice Skating FHE

A fun Family Home Evening! Ice Skating!

Sam did great and had so much fun! Coleman was getting pretty good, the goal like thing is what they have for the kids to learn how to skate.

Ashlynn didn't last long she got a blister. Jaxsyn skated for 30 seconds and freaked out. But the skates looked cute on her.

Valentine's Day!

Valentine Fairy strikes again! Pink pancakes with chocolate chips (Ryan's specialty) & juice for breakfast! The kids got mittens, candy & money (rather than a bunch of little crappy V-day toys)! Ryan & I don't celebrate Valentine's because we tell each other everyday how much we love each other aaaannnddd I'm cheap and would rather not get 100 dollar flowers or wait for 4 hours to each dinner with my hubby. So we stay home and got out a different night!

Daddy bought us t-shirts!

Daddy brought home t-shirts from Florida!! The kids ALWAYS ask Ryan if he is bringing home a surprise when he travels for work. This time he brought home sleep shirts!

Ryan & Chelsi in Disneyworld!!

Ryan's work had a trade show in Florida so our friends Dennis & Rick were going to be working there. They invited their wives and Ryan ended up needing to make some stops in Florida too so we (Ryan & I) tagged along for their trip. It was a short trip we flew out on Sat morning and I flew home on Tues morning. We played at Disneyworld on Sunday 9am-9pm!

The next day we went to Hollywood Studios again 9am-9pm!! Wow those were 2 looong days! We loved the Rockin' Rollar Coaster & the Tower of Terror!!!

How to save money the embarrassing way!

Steps:
#1 Go shopping (with coupons of course!)
#2 Start checking out.
#3 Have the cashier give you a total.
#4 Grab your wallet to pay and find that your debit card is gone.
#5 Ask your two year old who had been playing with your wallet "did you take mommy's credit card?" Her answer "Yep I borrowed it, I wanted to play with it." Where did you put it? "In my kitchen in my bedroom!" What color is it? "Brown" she was right, I was just making sure she really took it!
#6 Dig in your purse to find 2 dollars to pay your bill without having to put 1.76 on your credit card. I did have a gift card to cover the other $40 that's why the total was so small.
The cashier was a man who did not find this funny, like any woman would have.
We got home and Jaxsyn walked right upstairs and grabbed the card out of her room. It was so funny & cute!!!
