I did it!!!

I finally did it, well started it! Since Sam was tiny I had a dream of making a pillowcases for each child, for every month celebrating the holiday or season in that month! I know it seems silly but someone I worked with when I was first married, did it for her kids and they loved it. So when Ashlynn was born I set out to do it! I did Halloween & Christmas and found out I was pregnant with Coleman and then I got caught in the black hole of little children. Well I'm back on the wagon again and I made 6 Halloween pillows cases (the other's are 7 years old!) They are on the kids beds already! They have loved having the older ones, so hopefully I will actually get them all done this time!

Little Mother's!

Samantha & Ashlynn are great little mother's! When we had the twins over this week they were so helpful. Sam buckled them in their car seats, walked with them holding their hands, helped making dinner, and bathed the kids and then read to Ayden before bed.
Ashlynn was a great help also she watched them while Sam & I made dinner and read to Tate before bed. She also played house with them in the afternoon.
The girls have actually grown up so much this year, they are able to help do things around the house (done well, not just kid done). Samantha has even started babysitting for us for a hour or so at a time (while I stay close to home), by next year we will be able to leave the kids with her for a longer time I'm so excited that this day has come, finally after 10 years!

Fall has arrived!

When I was growing up my Grandparents had an apple orchard. Over the years it has gotten smaller and smaller, right before my Grandpa died he sold the majority and left only a dozen or so trees. But every year since I can remember I have helped picked apples in the fall. Apples are one thing that reminds me so much of my Grandpa Hirst, I loved him so much and still miss him after the 11 years that he has been gone. He was an amazing cook, he taught me the love of cooking. We always made fresh apple pie together in the fall. Luckily my kids have my dad who is equally as great as his dad. He makes pies with my kids every fall, with the apples they have helped pick.

My Uncle Tom's 40th Birthday!

We tried to surprise my uncle Tom with a birthday party on Saturday, but he figured it out! Here's a few pictures! My mom made him sit in a wheelchair the whole night, which he loved and started asking us to get him dinner, and drinks.

This is my mom and all her brothers & sisters:

Not Private for awhile!

We decided to not be private! We're just giving it a try. I want to send out Christmas cards with a photo and this blog address, so I want to know if I will comfortable doing that when the time comes. So for the next little while (maybe forever) we won't be private!! And for all those who are wondering, if you choose to not be private; it does save all of your readers so you don't have to re-type them again if you choose to be private again!

New Camera!!!!

My new camera!
I'm so excited, I haven't had a camera for 3 weeks and it was killing me to steal pictures from other peoples cameras & blogs! So here it is I can't give you a review yet because I've only used it for a day!

4th grade Projects!

WARNING to all parents who don't have children in 4th grade yet! It's big time projects!! Utah History projects, they are fun but time consuming. It is a great way for the kids to learn in a different way! 1st project of the year was handed out the day before school started and due 2 weeks later. A map of Utah made out of something creative! Sam chose modeling clay.

Camping in the Cold!

We went camping up Fairview Canyon over Labor Day weekend. The kids love going there and have so much fun! Those who don't know my family well, when we say camping I mean camping. Tents in the middle of a forest, real campfires, no showers or toilets, just good dirty camping. This is always fine and dandy until it rains! Or until it rains, and rains, and rains, and then starts to snow. When you all were sitting in your warm homes during that monsoon weekend we were camping! We had a lot of fun non the less. It was dry during the day it just rained at night, but the 2nd night our tent flooded and EVERYTHING got wet. 1- Jaxsyn just playing with dirt.
2-My dad (this trip truly is one of his joys in life) & Samantha
3-Ashlynn & Beau (the kids only see each other on this trip and they instantly are great friends!)
4- Samantha & Sydney (I swear i took a photo of Coleman & Brock but I guess I didn't!)
5-Jaxsyn's friend for the weekends 4wheeling ( Ryan & I were trying to get her to sleep!)
6- Jaxsyn in her helmet, she couldn't even hold her head up.
7- Jaxsyn turned 2 while we were camping.
8- Jaxsyn blowing out her candles.
9- This is what we woke up to the last morning. Beautiful but chilly.
By the way I love all my children, but they were busy this weekend building a fort in the trees. Really all day long, and then they collected wood 1/2 of another day! It amazing what kids can do with a imagination and a forest!
Okay I found the other pictures!

1- Coleman & Brock 2- Jaxsyn SOOOOO dirty! 3- The entrance to their fort. 4- The kitchen sink (white rocks) the towels rack above it!

Princess Rella's (Lindsey's) Wedding!

My cousin Lindsey Hirst got married to Tony Christenson (?) on the 23rd of August. She got married in the St. George Temple. She looked beautiful and Jaxsyn started calling her Princess Rella (Cinderella!)! The trip was fun we went with my family and got to take the kids swimming where my 2 girls wanted me to teach them flip turns (a proud moment for me!)

This is the kids waiting outside, in 100 degree temperatures! Seriously it was so freaking hot and the photographer was only taking 3 pictures at the temple but he took FOREVER to place us. So my two kids who can't deal well with heat were freaking out (Ashlynn & Jaxsyn). They weren't just misbehaving there bodies just don't do well in the heat! I told my kids they were never allowed to get married in August in St. George. But don't they look so cute!

What Year I Belong In?

You Belong in 1987
Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.
